The Intercommunal Tourist Office of the Vallespir is in the process of obtaining its Category II status.

It is part of the network of Tourists Offices of France and aims to:

  • Place at your disposition an easily-accessible reception area and information area with seating.
  • Assist you in making your arrangements to visit the local area.
  • Provide information free of charge on the local tourist area.
  • Provide free wifi (work in progress).
  • Display and distribute opening hours in a minimum of two foreign languages.
  • Commit to being open a minimum of 240 days a year including Saturdays and Sundays during the tourist season.
  • Respond to your postal queries.
  • Ensure reception personnel who speak a minimum of two foreign languages.
  • Provide paper copies of tourist maps, town plans and tourist guides where necessary.
  • Provide access to the tri-lingual Tourist Office website.
  • Provide tourist information in a minimum of two foreign languages, hard copy or via the internet, relating to locally-available accommodation, both classified and non-classified, including the name of the establishment, its postal address, email address, telephone number and its tourist rating.
  • Provide guidebooks containing practical and cultural information.
  • Provide emergency telephone numbers.
  • Update tourist information on an annual basis.
  • Post emergency telephone numbers outside the office.
  • Make available the complete range of expertise within the pertinent tourist area to all its clientele.
  • Address your complaints and measure client satisfaction.
  • Provide you with the services of a tourist adviser.
  • Guarantee reliable and up-to-date information on the local tourist area.
